A while back I worked on a series of small collaged pieces. Each piece was created on a foundation paper that was collected during a large multi-color paint spill in the studio. Little did I know these salvaged papers would become beautiful moody pieces in themselves. Chance would have it that I began drinking new teas at this same time. The two collided in the studio one morning and an art series was born. These pieces are crafted from hand-painted papers and are intertwined with small remnants of the recycled tea bags, labels and strings that were collected each morning as I sipped new flavors. My signature art marks and botanical stems are found throughout each piece as well as the wonderful textures born from merging so many delicious layers.
